I hope you all had a wonderful summer! I have a feeling I am not alone in welcoming milder fall temperatures. This has been a busy time for the healthcare community. Uncertainty about the US healthcare system, and for the bone health community the entrance of a novel therapeutic agent to the market (Tymlos/Abaloparatide) juxtaposed with reports from groups like the Institute for Clinical Economic Review (ICER). Despite it all NOF has remained focused on providing you and your patients with the resources needed to take ownership in their bone health.
As the Director of Science and Education, I am aware of the challenges associated with reaching a diverse clinical audience. The opportunities to learn more about the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and related bone health are many. Bone Source is a bi-monthly publication designed with you in mind. This publication has some new and exciting features. In our Advanced Practice Provider corner, you can read about topics that address care gaps, and also learn about treatment perspectives via submitted cases. This issue the focus is on the ācaregiverā. In the near future we will launch a āFind a Jobā feature.
Tell us what type of content you are interested in learning more about, or to provide feedback on an article or submit a case you may do so via education@bonehealthandosteoporosis.org.
